The Anglophone Region (AFW) was born in January of 2004.
It includes: SIERRA LEONE, LIBERIA, GHANAand NIGERIA.

SIERRA LEONE
There are two missions opened by the North America Salesians:
:: Lungi
The Mission was founded on the outskirts of the capital Freetown in1986. There are a nursery-school, two Primary Schools, a Secondary School, a Professional Centre and a Church with an oratory.
:: Freetown
The Salesians have been living in the capital since 1994 trying to support everyday poor children that were orpahaned because of the war.

LIBERIA
:: Monrovia
The Mission was founded in 1979 by the English Salesian Ispettoria, that co-operates with others non-governmental organizations (NGO) in re-education programs for child soldiers and orphans.
The Mission has got two parishes, an oratory, a Youth Centre, a Primary and Secondary School in two different place in the capital. |

GHANA
The Salesians from Germany opened two missions:
:: Sunyani
This was founded in 1994 in the centre of Ghana. It has got a Professional Centre for girls and boys, a Primary School, a Parish oratory. Once again here a part of the mission works with the orphans. The Mary Help of Christians Church is almost done and in the same compound there is the education community for the Novitiate.
:: Ashaiman
Mission located in the South of the region near the capital Accra. In addition to the Salesian Community we can find a Professional School and a Pastoral Centre (Outstation). As we said before, here the mission tries to re-educate the orphans.

NIGERIA
:: Ondo
The Mission was founded in 1982. It is the centre of the Pre-Novitiate with a Professional School, a Technical School of 400 students, a Parish with a Pastoral Centre and an Oratory.
:: Akure
The Mission was founded in 1982 by the Salesians from Turin. It has got a Technical School, a typography, a Health Centre with a dispensary and a Clinical Laboratory Analysis, a Church-Shrine dedicated to Mary Help of Christians, a Parish with several Pastoral Centres and an oratory.
:: Ibadan
The Mission has been opened since 2005 and it is the educational centre for the young salesians after the Novitiate. It has got a Youth Centre too.
:: Onitsha
The Mission started in Onitsha in 1989 thanks to the Salesians from the Adriatic area. Here there are a Technical School, a Secondary School, a College, an Oratory and a Vocational Guidance.
